Gr1 Titanium Characteristics

Grade 1 titanium is made of 99.5% pure titanium. Traces of other elements are minimized. This high purity makes an excellent contribution to corrosion resistance in highly oxidized environments.

It has excellent ductility. The results are excellent between cold water and have characteristics suitable for deep coating materials.

Primary titanium is known for its excellent resistance to general corrosion and seawater. It has high corrosion resistance in oxidized, neutral and slightly reduced media containing chlorides. Titanium is not affected by the atmosphere and sea water. Under normal temperature, less than 7% hydrochloric acid, less than 5% sulfuric acid, nitric acid, heavy water or dilute alkaline solution will not corrode. Only hydrofluoric acid, concentrated hydrochloric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid and so on can affect it.

Grade 1 titanium has a low density of 4.51 g/cm, is 3 cubic meters, and weighs about half as much as steel, while maintaining significant strength.

Low-density titanium (about half of nickel-based alloys), high strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance are ideal materials for many harsh chemical environments.

About Producing Method

Cold rolling:

The manufacturing method of 1 ASTM F67 class titanium foil is the most commonly used in flat-rolling method, with high productivity, large size and high yield, mainly produced with mills of 4 rollers or 20 rollers.

Heat treatment:

There are mainly two methods of heat treatment for titanium foil: vacuum annealing and smelting fast annealing. Vacuum de-heating refers to heat treatment by putting a titanium angle or relay in a vacuum furnace. Continuous online heat treatment protective titanium foil is a new technology introduced by our company recently. Compared with vacuum de-heating, the production efficiency is higher and the product quality is higher, and the mechanical ability of titanium foil is guaranteed excellently.

Difference Between Gr1 and Gr2 Titanium Foil

Titanium Gr 1 is the softest material with the best ductility.

The Titanium Gr 2 has a high fusion while being slightly stronger.

The Gr2 composition has good tensile strength and is ideal for high pressure and high temperature systems.
