2. Nature:
It has good corrosion resistance, is not easy to be eroded by general acid-base aqueous solution, and is easily soluble in hydrofluoric acid to form fluorine complex. At high temperatures, hafnium can also be directly combined with oxygen, nitrogen and other gases to form oxides and nitrides;

Hafnium is relatively stable in air, and hafnium in powder form is very easy to burn; Hafnium has a large thermal neutron capture cross section, hafnium has outstanding nuclear energy properties, and is an indispensable rare material for the development of atomic energy industry.

3. Use:
Because hafnium has rapid heat-absorbing and heat-releasing properties (1 times faster than zirconium and titanium), it can be used as a structural material for jet engines and missiles. The refractory nature of hafnium makes it useful as a blade for turbojet aircraft, used in freezing point pressure jet engines. It can also be used to manufacture valves, nozzles and other high-temperature parts.
